HELP has received a donation of £500 from the Bilton Community Fund to support its practical Help at Home service. The money will be used to support their work helping residents in the Bilton area with odd jobs, decorating and gardening.

The donation was awarded following the Bilton Gala Committee’s decision to donate the savings made from not staging a parade in 2018 to local good causes. HELP is the first recipient of funding from this pot.

Anna Woollven from HELP said: “Every day our Help at Home support workers are out and about supporting local older and vulnerable people with work they are no longer able to do themselves. It’s the little jobs we do, such as fixing shelves, clearing garden paths and changing light bulbs, that makes everyday living easier for them. We are delighted that the Bilton Gala committee has supported our work so generously.”

The official cheque presentation will take place at Bilton Gala on 22 July at Richard Taylor Primary School’s playing fields.
