Would you like to know… What’s happening in your local community? Where to turn if you need more support? Or maybe you’d like to meet new people and try a new activity?

Launched in early 2019, ‘Here to HELP’ is all about helping you access information and support in your local area. Drop in to Ripon Community House between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday for a cuppa and a chat, or come with specific questions about where to turn for community support and activities. Alternatively, you can give us a call and speak to Susan or Julie on 01765 645915 or email ripon@harcvs.org.uk

Join us for our forthcoming FREE Information Talks aimed at providing advice to people who would otherwise struggle to access it:

‘Assistive Technology’ Tuesday 17 September, 11 am-12 pm at Ripon Community House

Danny Shephard, Assistive Technology Manager at NRS Healthcare will be discussing how assistive technology can help users to get back some of their independence they may have lost; such as going out to meet friends or simply walking in their garden. He will also be showcasing
different equipment and how it can help increase peace of mind and reassurance for users and their carers

‘Keeping Warm and Well’, Saturday 5 October, 11 am – 12 pm at Ripon Community House

As the darker nights start to draw in, Julie Proudler from our Ripon and Rural Befriending team will be providing tips and advice on how to keep warm and well over the winter months.

Refreshments will be provided.  Members of the Here to HELP team will also be available to help you find out where to turn for community events and support available in the Ripon area. No need to book, just turn up!
