Now that the weather is getting colder, many people in our community may be wondering how they will be able to stay warm and well over the winter months. Advice is now available from ‘Warm and Well’, a local partnership of organisations working together to reduce fuel poverty and promote well being over the winter.
As one of the partnership organisations, HELP will providing advice and tips about staying warm and well at a series of talks locally, including events held with Arthritis Care, Harlow Friendship Club and Supporting Older People. Julie, from our Ripon and Rural Wellbeing service, can also signpost to other organisations, such as energy providers. www.first4contact.org provides a wealth of information about the assistance available, as well as an online referral form which can be used by both frontline organisations and members of the public and their family.
